I came across this vintage german lotto board game on Etsy and couldn’t help but notice the funky type. I couldn’t find any information on the game, so the date is TBD. Still good typographic inspiration though!

Inspiration doesn’t come solely from old graphics. The texture of an old book, the shape of a briefcase, or the color palette in a photo can be the key to your next design. Not to mention, they’ll make your mood boards look hot.

Sexy vintage form. This would be one killer piece of packaging if someone were to mimic aspects of this in their work. The worn colors and texture are great too.
My friend Fabien over at Graphic-Exchange posted an image from BrownDressWithWhiteDots. So, I went to visit it and found an eyeful of great emotive photography with vintage objects, textures, and just an overall rustic, vintage feel. These would be great for a mood board or for grabbing a color palette from.
I kept finding images with giant pumpkins in them and it cracked me up. I felt it was my duty to share. Via Graves and Ghouls.
These costumes are creepy in a way that no modern costume ever could be. All images via Graves and Ghouls.

Boulangerie Malmo is a little bakery in Sweden that looks like it’s been there 100 years without aging. Isn’t the signage and molding great? I love intimate shops that take you back in time. They also had this cool vintage bakery photo of a little boy with a huge loaf of bread. Can you imagine a little boy today drooling over bread in a window? Found via Simplesong.
DesignArk has a great humorous little curation of photos of Boston in the 1930s. Check out the DesignArk post to see a few other ways people were crashing their cars back then.
The photos are from the Boston Public Library which has a whole slew of goodies to check out.
