You Smell. Help me launch on Kickstarter!

I need your help! It would mean the world to me if my awesome readers would share my kickstarter page for You Smell on Twitter and Facebook. If you donate, you’ll be the first to get You Smell products (check out the awesome perks).            I can’t do this without you guys!

Well everyone, this is what I’ve secretly been slaving away on. Obviously, given my addiction to all things vintage, it has a certain aesthetic to it I though you all might enjoy :)

These are seriously the greatest soaps you will ever try. I wouldn’t spend a year of my life and everything I own on something that’s mediocre! They’re all natural, have amazing ingredients, and an extremely creamy lather. Not to mention the paper soap is unbelievably fun.

I just got accepted onto Kickstarter (yay!) and would love any help you can offer, be it reserving a bar or tweeting about it. You can hop onto the project page and read more about them.

Go to the project page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1928112333/you-smell

Wouldn’t you be proud to see it in a store one day and know you helped start it? If you enjoy the blog and would like a bar of soap and some paper soap packets, please make a small donation. I will love you even more than I already do :)

Playtime Idea: Permanent Freeze Tag (1904)

“Papa says it won’t hurt us!”   “They shoot straight and kill.”

Apparently little girls were pretty badass around the turn of the century. My great grandmother always scared me, but I could never put a finger on the reason. The turn of the century was all kinds of messed up. Via here.

Share A Brewsky With Your Kids! 1906

Is your child being a nuisance? Give them a beer! No other drink will make parenting easier- just get them a little tipsy and they’ll be a jolly good child, guaranteed! (Unless they’re a sloppy, grumpy drunk I suppose, then they may run off telling their friends what they really think of their toys..) Continue reading →

An Unexpected Find Amongst Boxes of Old Photos

So I can’t take credit for this find. A reddit reader was at a flea market and came across this. I cracked up instantly- it’s so unexpected. This little girl is awesome. Via Reddit

The Original Baller

Sport icons from bygone days. I miss the days when kids had true Balla’s and Hustla’s to aspire to. I love these visual mash-ups.

The Art of Manliness

To the dads who live out each day being manly men, fighting off rabid otters, defeating a hundred flesh-eating squirrels, and warding off grizzly bears. Consider these a tribute to your masculine feats.

Inside the post: more fantastic feats of manly men being attacked by killer turtles and flesh eating squirrels! Continue reading →
