Modern Vintage Signage

I love a good sign. The wood and distressed metal on this one give it a stunning vintage aesthetic that makes me want to run inside wherever the arrow is pointing to see if there’s a secret 1930s society.

This was designed by MM (where my favorite preancé works), and crafted by Lawrence Labianca for the business Monkey Inferno. In the first image, the guy on the right is Lawrence, one of the master craftsman behind this.

  1. Myself, and Tom Hermans created this sign based on Peter Markatos and his partners design. Inferno is the organization in which it was placed. All the above parties were a pleasure to work with. I also created a etched with patina Copper Monkey that is now hanging on a tree in the entryway. Seems like I have been doing a lot of signs lately. Please check out the sign hanging infront of Amnesia bar on Valencia st and 19th in San Francisco. I recreated a small boat to match the nautical theme that the bar is leaning towards. It hangs on a bow sprit and has illuminated graphics created by Robert Van Horne at http://rvhdesign.com/
