This Spalding engraving is so sexy. I love the structure of design in sports. There’s always such a simple geometric pattern underneath. In this particular design I like how the ball’s stitching looks reminiscent of a laurel wreath. Okay, so maybe it’s a stretch, but I see it and I like thinking all design is well thought-out with deeper meaning and symbolism…even an American baseball bat. :)
