About

My name is Megan Cummins. I’m a graphic designer living in downtown San Francisco with my awesome pre-ancé and 2 cats that believe they’re human. If you feel so inclined, you can see my personal work here.

When it comes to design, I research like crazy and create mood boards to develop the personality of the project. I think it’s my nerdy side that has helped me to achieve the “award winning” title. I get addicted to rummaging through archives looking for those great visual treasures. After realizing I had an ungodly amount of inspiration folders on my computer, I decided to put my findings to better use and create a blog to share with you like-minded ladies and gents!

If you like vintage goodness, this blog is going to be your online crack. Yep. It’s going to be an ongoing stream of drool-worthy, thought-provoking, creative-inducing eye candy- from print to packaging, typography to illustration. If it’s beautiful and inspiring, it’ll be here.Have something you think would be a good fit on the site? E-mail me at vintagemeohmy {@} gmail.com

If you’d like to make me feel special, follow me on Twitter!

But Wait! Don’t forget go follow VintageMeOhMy on Twitter to get updates and special secret links! : )

I’m ecstatic to have found this site! I’m following you now on Twitter, your work is stunning. Can I use these images in my artwork to sell?
    xoxo,
    Gail

    • I’m glad you like it! You’ll have to check the original copyrights for the images you want to use. I’m in the midst of gathering together some of my personal collection to scan in and create a downloads section on the site, which you can use in your artwork. I’ll start marking the images that I know are public domain. Unless I’ve marked it as such, you’ll need to get permission from the owners if you’ll be re-selling work that includes them. I’d love to see how you utilize them! : )

  5. Hey Megan…love the website! I found it through today’s entry on graphic-exchange.com. I’d like to share a resource with you that I’ve had for a long time. Not sure if you’ve ever done an entry on 78 RPM record labels from the early 20th Century, but if you haven’t, I give you a link to quite a collection!

I found that a couple years ago and it’s been of great worth to me since then. Hope it serves you well!

    Love your site!

    BTW, what is a pre-ance?

    • vintagemeohmy says:

Thank you! I’m glad you like it :)
A preancé is a term my boyfriend came up with. We’re more than just boyfriend/girlfriend (we’ve been together for about 4 years). We have a ring picked out, and we hated just sounding like a high-school couple. It didn’t quite encapsulate the seriousness of our relationship. So, until we’re fiancés, we’re preancés :)

  8. I wanted to share with you a fellow design student’s work that I think really correlates to your blog. His name is Woody Harrington and his matchbook designs are lovely. Here is the link to his portfolio site and the specific project that I am referring to:

  12. Hi,

I’m looking for someone to make a old/vintage design of my company logo, is this something you would do?

    Kind regards

How are you, I’m interested in some graphics; and wanted to know if you create things for people. I have an organization that I’m starting at school that I would like to make vintage.

  14. Hi Megan,

  16. Sally Hobson says:

    Hi Megan,
Are the downloads etc only available to people in the U.S.? It seems there are no boxes to fill in if you are a citizen of the world (specifically Down Under – Australia) so I can’t enjoy the fruits of your site,

    Kind regards

    Sally

    • vintagemeohmy says:

      Hi Sally,

Since all of the downloads are free, the information entered doesn’t matter–you can enter anything you want. I just keep it up for the interesting stats to see what part of the world or country people are coming from. I’ve had downloaders come from France, etc. before–so I’m not sure if something funky is going on with it or not, but if only the U.S. is showing up you should be able to just make something up and say you’re in the U.S.
